House of Friendship is a charitable human service agency founded in 1939 in partnership with many local Christian churches. Today, House of Friendship continues to value the opportunity to work with local Christian churches, and to work with many faith groups and community partners.

The mission of House of Friendship is to serve low-income adults, youth and children in need of support, and to promote opportunities for personal growth, wholesome relationships and community development through the application of holistic Christian principles.

MFC is donor-advised, meaning that we sit on your side, providing advice, tax information and tools to help you support the causes you care about most. In 2008, MFC distributed $8.2 million to 575 charities across Canada. MFC has over$100 million in assets under management, about one-third of which is used by churches and other charities in the form of mortgages and loans.
